INSTRUCTION FOR UPDATING DIGIT MF4-K
===================================================


INSTALLATION:
First, unzip and copy the following programmes to a new folder of your choice,
e.g. C:\Technisat

DOWN.BAT
DOWN2.BAT
MF4K_2220-322b.pad
INFO.TXT

Please check your PC- COM-Port's settings on your computer.
The COM-Port, which you want to use for updating your receiver, must be set up as follows:

Bits per second:	115200
DATA BITS:		8
Parity:			NONE
STOP BITS:		1
Protocol:		HARDWARE

You need a 9-pin serial cable WITHOUT crossing lines! 
Connection scheme:

This cable is also available under Order No: 0000/3622

Connect PC's COM PORT and receiver (serial interface RS 232) by the cable.
Switch the receiver on, and set to any channel.
If the receiver is connected to COM 1, please start "DOWN.BAT".
IF the receiver is connected to COM 2, you must use "DOWN2.BAT".

IMPORTANT:
The update runs ONLY under Windows 95,98,ME,NT and XP -- NOT under DOS!
Update must not be interrupted! (Should be finished within max. 5 minutes.)
If ERRORS occur or the update takes more than 10 minutes, the complete
procedure has to be repeated!
